近有平陰信，
遙憐舍弟存。
側身千里道，
寄食一家村。
烽舉新酣戰，
啼垂舊血痕。
不知臨老日，
招得幾人魂。

Recent news from far-off P'ing-yin Says my poor brothers are safe. They
fled a long distance To find food in a small village. But there the fires of
battle have started anew; My weeping means new tears on the old
traces, Since I am growing old, I do not know How many of you I shall
ever see again.
